Little Chip....Big Fear

As we plug ourselves in to the wonderful world of the internet we leave ourselves wide open to assualt by enemies we could have never imagined in our wildest dreams. Some wear clever disguises to lure us in as friends, others are much more in-your-face with their presentation. Be it email, web surfing, teleconferencing, or just the beeper on your belt - Watch Out!

mailbomb photoMany of you may have received the letter. If you have not check it out here. It seems to have circulated at lightning speed. Are we safe in assuming that most of the mail passed through AOL or MSN and these other large ISP's probably isn't worth delivering anyhow. Why wouldn't one of these ISP's (especially MSN with their "we are gonna rule the world and wage war if we want" attitudes) come up with some way to prevent this sort of thing. Maybe the notice is the mail bomb? Whatever happened to the "Good Times" virus???

blue ribbon campaignYes Indeed....Our friend and co-conspirator Eric Haussmann, the happy editor of Tech Support Tales, managed to see through the tom foolery of the blue ribbon campaign and with a few clicks of his Photoshop pallette managed to let its true light shine through. Whenever you are holding hands with freedom and prancing merrily along with you, just look back over your shoulder.

pictureof an ugly guyOK.....We really hate to do this but just have to. If the future of communications is going to involve Jetson-style video conferencing we have every right to be very afraid (As indicated by the CU-See Me screen grab to the left). With the advent of CU-SeeMe and the $99 Quickcam the ability to video conference is in any PC users reach. This is NOT a good thing. Please exercise restraint with new technology. Think about the innocent bystanders And a special note to the mighty Pulse Maker.....no harm meant.....we just could not resist. It wasn't our idea.....we swear....really....please don't log on again...nooooooooo!
