When we first entered the small Peep community in the hills of Bethlehem, PA we did not know what to expect. Our undercover reporters were initially greet by the Peep pictured tot he right. This Peep, known as Damien by his friends and family, seemed like an ordinary Peep at first. He was complacent, cute, sweet and cheerful. Beneath this cheerful exterior we noted a sense of fear. After showing us around the small mountain community, Damien warned us to watch ourselves after nightfall.
Damien: Be careful after dark in this place.
Reporter: What do you mean?
Damien: The owls are not what they seem...
Reporter: What do you mean by that Damien?
Damien: It is not I who control my actions, it is the spirits of the forest.
Reporter: Damien, you are not making much sense!?
Damien: I must go now, and tend to my duty at the Black Lodge.
With this Damien hurried off through the thicket towards a starnge glowing light in the woods. Our reporters and camera men followed him from a distance. He did not even seem aware that we were behind him and we are still not sure whether Damien had willingly let us follow or was in a trance like state.
Editor's Note: It is here the recordings made by our reporters end. They were not heard or seen from ever again. When we did not get any response from them, after two weeks of being deep undercover, we sent in another undercover reporter. This reporter barely left the region of the hills with his life. In the weeks since his return he has been unable to speak. He did manage to retrieve some of the original tapes and notes from the first reporters from a clearing in the woods, which make up the first part of the article. In addition, clutched in his hands as he stumbled onto the intersate attempting to escape, was the following collection of photos with pencil notes on the back.
