Welcome to Dish, where we will try our best to present you with not just another "Cool Site" from time to time but a real honest to goodness online time-killer. We want to offer you something that will allow you to do more than just skim through a couple of neat graphics and opinions. With the help of Dish you might just be able to find an easy way to fill up those days when you decide, "I just don't feel like working today." If you have a site, or know of a site that might make an excellent time-killer please let us know and maybe it will get mentioned in Dish.
The latest recipient of Dish's recognition is:
Spumco is a web based entertainment zone created by the same twisted folks who brought you Ren and Stimpy. Peer in on the somewhat baffling adventures of Goddamn George Liquor (with streaming shockwave animation stories), play a shockwave game where you have to stuff a duck up Jimmy's butt, or shop online for special Spumco products. If you feel anywhere near sick or talented enough you might even want to apply for a job. Check out the world's best window into what it is like to be American!

TapeHead is a testament on the Web to all those great movies that you walk right past in the video store, as you clamor for one of the 7000 copies of Titanic so as to spend yet another night watching Leonardo DiCaprio stare vacantly into someone's eyes as if searching for his lost acting ability. Tapehead features extensive reviews of all that goes direct to video and those cinematic greats that got bumped out of the theater after the first week to make room for another intensely sexist and generic Disney flick. TapeHead has a good handful of articles as well spotlighting some of the not so well known "oh yeah that guy" type of actors that we've all seen in a million films but never made it to the level of $10 million a film. So if you're a closet Randy Quaid film buff, and titles such as Viva Kneivel, Surf Nazi's Must Die or Teenage Cat Girls in Heat appeal to you - or if you just are a bit tired of seeing Jim Carey's sorry ass in yet another useless piece of celluloid check out TapeHead and make your way to the dustier shelves of your video store.

Hmmmm....yes indeed. Stick Figure Death Theater located at http://ucsub.colorado.edu/~borcherm/sft.html certainly managed to catch our attention for the good part of an afternoon. We were overcome first by a series of chortles and giggles and then proceeded to pull other people over to the machine to watch some of the cimematic features that Stick Figure Death Theater had to offer. This certainly is not for the faint of heart...stick figures get shot, run over, gunned down, heads explode ...and yes there is an adult section as well. Stick Figure Death Theater serves up a series of original creations as well as serves as a repository for donated or submitted SFDT features. Go and check it out....if you work hard enough at it you could be the next big Stick Figure Death Theater Director.

Yes indeed it's The Smoking Gun, a repository for documents of great interest to those of us who want to scour through 10 page search warrants for the home of Jon Benet Ransey. If you need to read the arrest warant for Oksana Baiul, that cute young ice skater who apparently likes to drive at speeds in excess of 90 mph while drunk, this is the place for you. Find out just how much Jerry Garcia was worth after he was gratefully dead...and so much more. We only scratched the surface of these legal documents and managed to waste 3 work hours. Ignore that pile of papers in your in-box and scamper off to The Smoking Gun.

We discovered Bunko! while randomly typing words into the location bar in Netscape and it turned out to be such a great time-killer that it has taken this long for us to let you know about it. Bunko! is a game-based site that relys heavily on Shockwave - so you gotta get the plug-in before visiting (visit macromedia). Bunko! manages to stand out from the crowd of Shockwave game sites by offering a good selection of black humor, tongue-in-cheek games the whole family can enjoy. Who can resist Club Seal, where you whack a seal on the head with a hammer to cool techno beats. Other great features include Digital DuChamp, where you get to create your own hairstyle for the Mona Lisa, and a perverse version of the Hi-Q game entitled A-Q-Puncture that has to be seen to be believed. This is not all. There are several other twisted and entertaining time killers. High scores get posted online and if the games don't use up enough of your work day try the chat room. http://www.bunko.com
