These were the audio compilations that started it all for Auricular Records. Back in the late 80's and early 90's the D.I.Y. experimental music scene was much different than it is today. Home computers were very expensive, as were CD pressings and LP manufaturing. The only medium that was feasible for distribution for many artists was the cassette. Artists from all over the world contributed tracks to the 13 volumes of the Auricular Audio Magazine. These compilations were released in limited edition packages of 100. Now for the first time in over 10 years these recordings are available again - digitally remastered - and downloadable in mp3 format! We are slowly working our way through remastering all the Auricular Audio Magazine compilations so keep checking back. As they are completed they will be made available.
