Nux Vomica's first full-length CD release is an aural exploration into the world of alchemy. Each track is a representation of a different stage in the alchemical process as outlined in the ancient alchemical manuscript entitled The Crowning of Nature.
The CD features a collection of studio recordings as well as several live pieces. The live pieces mark an important time in experimental music as they were recorded during the final live artist performance on KFJC's Radio Free Hatred in February of 2001.
From delicate rhythmic trance like textures to a descent into a fiery dream world - this release has something for anyone who enjoys intensely dynamic soundscapes.
reviews
...pieces on The Crowning of Nature are cutting-edge sound pictures of the mind's ear....Bleak, lonely, hypnotic soundscapes; but sounds demanding to be heard and, thus, springing to life urgently. Sometimes primeval, sometimes industrial. Ancient chaos, fire, earth, water, and air - all elements that make up our existence from beginning to end in endless cycle. Damn good stuff. -TheCapitalClinic [fuzz.com]
