This is the second installation in the Sense/Net series which was culled from a continuous 9 hour performance which took place in an ambient room at 177 Townsend Street in San Francisco on September 11-12, 1992. The artists who participated in this venture, set up along a 20 foot long table scattered with tape machines, synths, water buckets, metal bits, phonographs, and a wide variety of electronic and analog devices. They supplied the sounds they created to the main "controllers" at the mixing board. It was then the responsibility of the "controllers" to mix the sources in real time to create the compositions you hear on this recording. The sound board controllers for this installation were dAS and Brook Hinton. This release includes two separate tracks of about 30 minutes each. Each track has several movements. The movements have been named but not divided from the whole piece to preserve the continuity of the original performance.
Participating artists included dAS, Drew Dobbs, David Gardner, Alan Herrick, Jenny Liang Herrick, Brook Hinton, Gustavo Pastre, Evan Sornstein, and Rob Wortman.
